Morris House Hotel Wedding in Historic Philadelphia | Tori + Cory

A historic Philadelphia Morris House Hotel wedding is the best kind of wedding!  Intimate and boutique, Morris House Hotel is nestled on a quiet alley right in the heart of Philadelphia’s most historic downtown section. Guests can get a real taste of the best that Philadelphia has to offer by simply walking out the front gate and strolling the surrounding famous neighborhood with sights like the Liberty Bell and the Constitution Center just a block or two away.   In addition to a perfect location, Morris House Hotel also has a beautiful enclosed garden courtyard that is the sweetest spot for an intimate wedding ceremony, surrounded by all your nearest and dearest friends and family.

Tori and Cory were a fun and relaxed couple that we loved working with for their early August Morris House Hotel wedding. Flowers weren’t super important to them and they just wanted pretty blooms to compliment the space so they chose to use our Prix Fixe Package, a perfect choice for the Morris House Hotel since it doesn’t need a lot of extra dressing up.  

 

 

Tori and Cory chose the neutral palette in our Prix Fixe Package so we used the farm’s white dahlias, hydrangeas, and lisianthus in abundance along with lots of interesting seasonal foliage and accents like strawflowers, zinnias, and foxgloves.  Even though our Prix Fixe Package is not as customized as our Full Service option, it is incredible how every time the Prix Fixe flowers still look exquisitely tailored to the couple’s other selections for their days, be in attire, linens, or venue.  Serendipity!!

 

Tori chose a rounded shape for her bouquet, but still with a lot of texture, which turned out to perfectly match her really fun modern gown and earrings!  Her bridesmaid wore the most beautiful shade of soft gray blue which picked up the gray green foliage of the mountain mint in her bouquet.  And Cory’s boutonniere featured mini lisianthus, strawflowers, and lavender foliage that matched his suit just so.  

 

 

We have to give a little shout out to the flower girl, who wore her flower crown like a true queen!  Sometimes little girls get shy and don’t want to wear or hold their flowers and walk down the aisle.  Clearly this lovely little lady did not have any qualms about joining in the wedding fun!  Best flower girl ever!

 

For their guests’ dinner tables, Tori and Cory chose the gold cylinder vase with lush flowers. Coupled with the gold mercury votives we provided and the dark wooden chairs, the reception for this Morris House Hotel wedding was very handsome and polished.  For their own sweetheart table, Tori and Cory used one of our “lust floral gatherings” to decorate.  This gathering could have been used during the ceremony to decorate the gazebo and then taken down to place on the table.  What a great double use of a floral design and bang for your buck!
