Moshulu Wedding Reception
After their wedding ceremony at the iconic Race Street Pier, Katie + Santo invited their guests to stroll to the historic Moshulu ship for their wedding reception. A Moshulu wedding reception is one to be remembered! How often can a wedding guest say they had cocktails on the deck and dinner in the hold of an Old World wooden ship with grand views of the Philadelphia skyline and the riverfront? Built in 1904, the Moshulu is the only restaurant and wedding venue on a Tall Ship in the world today. Holy wow, right?!?
It makes for some amazing photo ops for both the wedding party and guests! I love all the images the Rhythm and Bloom crew captured of Katie + Santo walking through the crowds at Spruce Street Harbor Park and at the Moshulu. Clearly these beautiful people are not shy about their love for each other and for the culture of Philadelphia! Swoon!!
The Flowers
Katie + Santo chose our Prix Fixe Package again for their Moshulu wedding reception, sticking with the neutral palette of white, green, gray and touches of soft peach. Overflowing floral centerpieces were designed in a white ceramic boho vase. These were set on gold charges on the table, which was a lovely way to bring a warm glow in the dark interior of the Moshulu. To stretch their budget a bit further, Katie + Santo opted to DIY putting a candle and simple greens on every other table. And they re-purposed the large floral urns from the ceremony to decorate the place card table and gift/guest book table.
We know we hit the nail on the head when Katie sent us a sweet note after the wedding saying, “You guys really made my flower dreams come true and were able to make it happen with my budget! THANK YOU!”. This is why we do what we do and why we love our Prix Fixe Package option so much!
