Inn at Grace Winery
Weddings at the Inn at Grace Winery are some of our favorites because it’s such a great match for our farm’s seasonal and sustainable stems. This boutique winery set in a verdant rural landscape just west of Philadelphia offers a beautiful bucolic backdrop for couples who love good wine and want to host their friends and family for a weekend-long celebration. Not only is there a big barn from the 1700s and a natural amphitheater for wedding festivities, the Inn at Grace Winery is also a charming B&B with eight adorable cottages and seven guest rooms in the main house. Rather than busing everyone back to a hotel, just stumble to your cottage after the dance party is done!
Debra + James
Magic happens when couples trust us to weave the very best seasonal, locally-grown florals from our farm together with little more guidance than giving us a general color scheme and vibe to go on. Debra and James did just that with their late October wedding at the Inn at Grace Winery. This lovely and relaxed duo opted to use our easy breezy Prix Fixe package, choosing the neutral color scheme with the bohemian ceramic vase and a loose, earthy design style. It was a match made in heaven with the rustic elegant setting in the vaulted barn at the Inn at Grace Winery.
The Bridal Party
Debra and James chose to keep it simple and forego having a bridal party. Instead they honored key family members and friends with corsages, hair combs, and boutonnieres. Debra carried a hand-tied bridal bouquet abundant with our farm’s late-season dahlias in tones of cream and white. The shape was relaxed and natural with lots of texture coming from the many stems of seasonal greenery, including eucalyptus, caryopteris, and fragrant herbs. Antiqued lace hydrangeas and delicate pin cushion flowers added a sense of movement to the bouquet and really made it sing against Debra’s beaded cream gown.
James wore a boutonniere that featured taupe heirloom mums, white lisianthus, eucalyptus and wisps of broom corn. The stems were wrapped in twine to give a natural, rustic feel that matched the barn wedding vibe.
The Ceremony
With rain in the forecast, Debra and James chose to get married inside the beautiful vaulted space of the barn at the Inn at Grace Winery. We created an overflowing and textural statement design in an elegant glass urn to be placed on a wine barrel as the floral touch for their heartfelt and intimate vows. Don’t you just love how simple and lovely this space looks with the fabric draping and the singular stunning floral arrangement? Proof that you don’t have to go over the top with florals to make an impact. Good choice, Debra and James!!
The Reception
Dinner was served at long tables draped in crisp white linens with a simple burlap runner down the center. We created lush seasonal centerpieces in a boho-inspired white ceramic bowl that both stood out from and blended so beautifully with the tables against the white-washed stone walls in the barn. It was a decidedly dreamy affect that couldn’t have been more perfect even if we had spent months and months planning with Debra and James.
This is the magic that happens when everything just flows naturally, letting the season and nature be the guide. Such a more relaxing way to approach weddings, don’t you think? Thank you so much for making our wedding that much more beautiful. We are so happy we trusted you with the pre fixe package. Such a completely easy and worry free option that turned out better than I could have ever imagined. The flowers and palette matched so well with the venue and against my vintage lace gown.
