What a wonderful experience it was to teach the two-day intensive weddings master class at the farm last week! The students were all energetic, thoughtful, keen to learn, and talented! My favorite part of teaching the whole series of master classes this spring has been watching where the students go with their dreams afterwards. Already two students from the Business of Local Flowers master class have launched their own new businesses and found spaces and collaborations in which to work. I’m certain this group from the weddings class is going to be equally quick to bloom!

The farm dinner at the end of the class was such a pleasure. The evening was perfect to dine in the field, with a cool breeze for relief from the unseasonable heat and humidity that had taunted us for two days. As you can see in the photos, there was much laughing and sharing of stories. Even the ducks came to dine with us!

I am so grateful to Jennifer and Anne, two powerhouse women of the Love ‘n Fresh team, for preparing the delicious menu. Many thanks to Maggpie Vintage Rentals for providing the tables, chairs and place settings. And special thanks goes to Emily Wren Photography for capturing the magic. Emily took all the photos in this post except for the first one, which I snapped.
