This week we’re bidding farewell to so many spring flowers, including the beloved anemones and wild columbine. But the first of the bachelor buttons, cerinthe and sweet peas are featured in this week’s Backyard Bouquet. This design is rather exquisite in person, I have to say (humbly, I assure you). Purples and blues are always the hardest colors for me to photograph so the subtle shifts between the two in this bouquet just don’t quite come through. Guess that means I should just stare at the real thing all day!
Feel free to add a link to your own Backyard Bouquets by clicking on the little blue guy below and following the prompts. If you are on Instagram, feel free to use the hashtag #backyardbouquets to join in the fun. I’d love to see what everyone is growing and creating!
The only “rule” is that all the elements in the arrangement must be sourced locally, within a 25 mile radius. Your own backyard is a great place to start!!
SIMPLY wonderful. I would pay a GAZILLION dollahs for that tea tin ;-D It looks as if this blue/purple wonder could not possibly rest in any other container. So glad you shared it with us!
Thanks, Bethany! 🙂
You are right.. this is exquisite!! The interplay b/w purple and blue flowers is also a favorite of mine. – you can really see a glimpse of it in that second photo. So beautiful!
I don’t have words for this one, J. All the ones I think of seem feeble in comparison. Love, love, love… Thank you for sharing. So much!
Aw, thanks, Jeanine! <3
