It’s that magical time in the season when the spring cool-loving blooms cross paths, if only briefly, with the early summer blooms. Icelandic poppies and Coral Sunset peonies were just meant to be together. Add in Lilies of the Valley and you’ve got a bouquet that’s bold and fragrant beyond words.
This week we ripped out the anemones and ranunculus and planted the dahlias in their place. The seasons are certainly shifting. What’s the bloom you’ll miss the most as the season changes in your garden?
Feel free to add a link to your own Backyard Bouquets by clicking on the little blue guy below and following the prompts. If you are on Instagram, feel free to use the hashtag #backyardbouquets to join in the fun. I’d love to see what everyone is growing and creating!
The only “rule” is that all the elements in the arrangement must be sourced locally, within a 25 mile radius. Your own backyard is a great place to start!!
So gorgeous, Jennie! Thank you for sharing your amazing adventure with flowers. So inspirational!
This is GORGEOUS! And I just tried to leave my link but it said the link was closed… You can see my bouquet here then… http://theprettylovelyblog.blogspot.com/2014/05/spring-brights.html
