Last year’s collaboration, The Seasonal Bouquet Project, was heaps of fun. I really loved the weekly commitment to create simply for the sake of seeking — and sharing — inspiration through seasonal blooms from our farm. While that particular project finished last fall, I still have been creating designs “just because” throughout the winter and spring, keeping in the lovely habit of making the designs almost weekly, but not being very good at posting them on the blog. Without the strict Tuesday deadline of the SBP blog, it’s hard to remember to prioritize posting photos.
I’m going to try to do a better job of it moving forward.
Feel free to add a link to your own Backyard Bouquets by clicking on the little blue guy below and following the prompts. If you are on Instagram, feel free to use the hashtag #backyardbouquets to join in the fun. I’d love to see what everyone is growing and creating!
The only “rule” is that all the elements in the arrangement must be sourced locally, within a 25 mile radius. Your own backyard is a great place to start!!
Wow, what a fabulous bouquet! The colors and textures are just stunning. While I’m not a floral designer (which will be obvious once you see my bouquet!) I love creating an arrangement from the garden each week to celebrate the weekend. It’s so fun, plus it forces me to slow down and really spend time enjoying all of the hard work of growing. Happy Friday!
I love that, Julie! Such a great way to make every day moments extra special! No need to wait for big occasions to enjoy beautiful blooms! 🙂
Im loving all these weekly linkups everyone is doing to promote creating bouquets from local flowers. Im not a florist but aspire to be, and having just graduated from college and the student loans taking up most of my bank account, arranging flowers from my backyard is the only way I can practice right now. Thank you for all the inspiration!

Pretty Lovely
Can I just say that the arrangement is gorgeous but those bearded iris are stunning!
