This week’s design for The Seasonal Bouquet Project was certainly no masterpiece. There were no magnificent mechanics to support an elaborate and artistic arrangement. No grand swoops or arcs. Just a simple mason jar full of my favorite flowers that I arranged in my hand as I walked around the field at dusk, gathering the blooms that cheered me.
You see, it’s been a bit rough around here as of late. Some personal challenges, including a very sick and beloved cat on a long slow death march due to cancer. And after a long (long!) weekend of wedding work with very little sleep, I just needed some flowers to cheer me up. To make me happy. So this week’s bouquet is for me, not you. It’s not meant to impress. It’s no masterpiece. It’s just what flowers should be. . . a gift for a tired soul.
Beautiful and uplifting! Love the berries & the vivid colors! I hope you feel better and get some rest. Thinking about you and kitty. Xoxo!
I like simple and special and very personal. I think you had the best reason for gathering flowers….to make you happy. Just perfect!
Exactly the right medicine, always, but especially when you must keep on carrying on. Hugs.
Jennie, In your hands every group of flowers is a work of art, whether you intend it to be so or not. Just beautiful!
I agree with Lisa. Tough watching a beloved feline companion on their 9th life. More hugs from me.
Thanks, everyone, for all the thoughtful and supportive comments!! You’re the best!! xo
