Over this past summer, we were asked to come up with some seasonal wedding inspiration at Pomme in Radnor as part of a large evening tasting event. The event was hosted by our good friends, Peachtree Catering (best caterers in Philadelphia!), and we were given carte blanche to do whatever tickled our fancy for wedding inspiration at Pomme. So much fun!
And to make it even more exciting, another favorite vendor friend, Emily Wren Photography, agreed to come take some pictures of the evening before guests arrived so we could share this beauty with all of you! Thanks, Emily, for capturing it all so perfectly!
One of the best things about Pomme in Radnor is that it is a very clean and neutral space with a few natural/rustic accents like the focal field stone fireplace and natural-wood lighting fixtures. The options are limitless here and we always love working in this beautiful venue. Color really pops in this space and it felt like a great time to make a few bold choices for this event to showcase some wedding inspiration at Pomme.
Given it was late August, the farm was absolutely ablaze with vivid blooms. The red ‘Rubenza’ cosmos, dancing in the breeze, begged to take center stage in this late-summer-meets-early-fall wedding inspiration at Pomme and Peachtree’s tasting event. But it’s hard to deny a big-as-your-face dinner plate dahlia so that stage had to be shared with our luscious, jaw-dropping peach ‘Sierra Glow’ dahlias. Mixed in between these two stars were blush lisianthus, coral zinnias, smaller peach dahlias, rusty pink hydrangeas, and deep burgundy continus leaves. Such a symphony of deeply saturated colorful blooms!
Party Rental Ltd graciously agreed to provide us with linens and chairs. While most of the smaller guest tables were dressed in a deep coral cotton linen, one head table got some extra special treatment so it would wow guests as they arrived. This show-stopper table was dressed in a luxury linen with very touchable texture and a marbled pattern in coral and cream. The center of the table was overflowing with three lush floral designs spilling out from hammered gold bowls. Surrounding the florals were a mismatched collection of candles, including peach pillar candles and gold mercury votives. Just-picked green tomatoes and unripe peaches from our farm also nestled among the candles to add another layer of interest for guests to buzz about during dinner. Gold specialty cutlery and modern glassware provided just the right vibe to keep the entire table feeling luxe and fresh. White cross-backed chairs echoed the white exposed beams overhead to draw the entire look of the room together. If you are getting married at Pomme, we’d strongly suggest getting these white cross-backed chairs for all your guest tables!
The sweet, light-filled atrium off the side of the main hall at Pomme made for a cozy nook for photographs. The light in this room is always phenomenal! We chose to place a dramatic statement piece here for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour and to use as a photo backdrop.
We had high hopes of decorating the new white wooden pergola out in the garden for some extra wedding inspiration at Pomme, particularly for outdoor ceremonies beside the babbling brook. Sadly, scattered summer thunderstorms kept us from our grander plans. But we did quickly tie on some flowers to the swing and had a few fun moments between raindrops. This structure is really stunning and is part of the rental of Pomme. We’re really looking forward to decorating it more extensively in the future!
If you are considering Pomme in Radnor for your wedding or party venue, we can’t think of a better spot! The light-filled space is intimate and inviting. The location is close enough to Philadelphia that it’s easy to get to but without the headaches of center city traffic. The surrounding green space at Pomme is perfect for pictures. And, perhaps most importantly, the Peachtree Catering staff are incredibly kind and professional, serving up the most delicious, seasonally-inspired food in town.
Special thanks to Jazmine Rae & Co for providing hair and make-up services for our lovely bride model at this event!
