May Floral Design Workshops at Our Farm
How can it possibly be mid-April already?! Time is flying by as the farm comes into full bloom after a long rest over the winter. We’re harvesting flowers every day now, including armfuls of ranuculus, specialty tulips, heirloom narcisuss, sweetly fragrant stock, vibrant Icelandic poppies, delicate diminutive muscari, adorable galanthus, and so much more! It’s frankly hard to keep up! But it’s so wonderful to have buckets full of flowers again as we look ahead to our May floral design workshops at the farm.
We’ve already sold out all of our April floral classes, but we have several great May floral design workshops on offer this season. We’d love to have you join us for one (or two!)! Here’s a brief overview. Lots more info on each class is over on our Floral Fundamentals Workshops page and you can sign up for any of these class quickly and easily through our Online Shop.
Kicking off our May floral design workshops is this relaxed class focused on everyone’s favorite spring bloom, Ranunculus. We’ll start by learning how to harvest ranunculus, and you’ll get to pick your favorite blooms right off the plants. Lots of tips for how to grow happy ranunculus yourself will be discussed. Then we’ll take our armfuls of ruffled blooms into the barn to design a ranunculus-centric arrangement, using a flower “frog” in a shallow bowl. There’s only one spot left in this workshop so grab it before it’s sold out!
Spilling Over Spring Centerpieces, May 11th
Mother’s Day weekend is a great time for a May floral design workshop on our farm and this one sells out every year! We have two sessions this season, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, so that we can host even more people for this popular class. Bring your mom, daughter, grandmother, or sister to this flower-filled celebration of creative women and beautiful blooms. We’ll create a lush, overflowing centerpiece of the best blooms spring has to offer, including the first of our peonies, all grown at the farm!
Are you getting married soon and want to create your own florals? Or perhaps you’re a mom, sister, or maid of honor that’s been put in charge of flowers. Come to this May floral design workshop at our lush flower farm and learn ALL that you need to know to make DIY-ing wedding flowers fun and relatively easy. We’ll teach you all the basics of designing wedding flowers, and we’ll answer questions about how to buy flowers, store flowers, and transport flowers so the Big Day is absolutely beautiful and less stressful!
