It’s been quite the lively week around the farm, including a major magazine shoot, another corporate shoot, a long-anticipated visit from Debra Prinzing, and an amazing farm dinner that brought together so many of our dearest friends and supporters. This delicious little floral number for the Backyard Bouquet this week played a couple roles throughout the festivities. Of course I didn’t remember to photograph it until an evening thunderstorm was rolling through, and I had to hurry to capture any decent light.
Included in the arrangement are dahlias, ruby grass, autumn anemones, cotinus, ninebark, joe pye weed, daucus, echinacea, and scabiosa.
What’s blooming in your backyard this week? Feel free to add a link to your own Backyard Bouquets in the comments section below. If you are on Instagram, be sure to use the hashtag #backyardbouquets to join in the fun. I’d love to see what everyone is growing and creating!
The only “rule” is that all the elements in the arrangement must be sourced locally, within a 25 mile radius. Your own backyard is a great place to start!!
It seems I am able to do this about once a month! So fun! http://botaniqueflowers.blogspot.com/2014/08/from-garden.html
It’s actually a somewhat similar color palette to yours 🙂
I love it, Kelly!!!! <3
Jennie, I learn so much from your blog – thank you! This week, for me, it’s all about the sunflowers this week!
