I’m a little behind on posting the extra photos from this past week’s Seasonal Bouquet Project installation. This time around, I was inspired by my ever-growing collection of vintage blue tobacco tins and a desire to zoom in on the beauty of the ranunculus before they go dormant in the summer heat. These tiny tins really made me happy. Honestly, I think I would prefer them over any of the big, dramatic designs I often make. Each bloom here was truly important, every petal a star among the lady’s mantle. For some reason, these little tins also made me want to cry. Sometimes flowers get me choked up, especially when the end of their particular season is fast approaching. I will miss these beauties fiercely!!
A wonderful entry! I love your writing style and stunning photos, and of course the flowers. I completely emphasize – I get sad at the end of a flowers’ season, too. I get really sad when I was too busy to enjoy them to the fullest. But there’s always next year!
