This week’s installation of The Seasonal Bouquet Project was pretty spectacular, if I say so myself. Erin pulled out all the stops with a monstrously lush arrangement, and I grabbed up big branches of dogwood and the amazing collection of tulips and narcissus that are streaming out of the flower fields right now. Such a pretty explosion! Sure beats the little gatherings I was making earlier in this project. It’s only going to get better from here!
The dogwood has been truly magical the past two weeks. Normally it doesn’t make the most reliable cut, because hot sunny spring days force the blooms open too fast and then they “blow out” and drop their petals quickly. This spring, however, the days have been cool and generally cloudy. The dogwoods have opened slowly and have lasted for weeks. I’m taking full advantage of this amazing tree native to Pennsylvania’s woodlands!
I always look forward to seeing the Extras….rally gorgeous thank you for sharing them.
Thanks, Yvonne!! I’m so glad you’re following along. 🙂
