Our second annual Summer Solstice Soiree at the farm was a huge hit again this year! It’s like the best family reunion imaginable. All the friends of the farm — our wedding couples, our CSA members, our vendor friends, our whole staff, and a few just plain old friends — come for a relaxed twilight evening in the fields. There’s good food, good booze, and good music to add to an already magical setting. And somehow the weather managed to be perfect even when the forecast looked ominous.
This year we were lucky to have the new Jules Thin Crust pizza truck serving up seasonally-inspired artisan pies that were a huge hit, including options for vegetarians and those who are gluten free! And Liberty Gin, distilled just a few miles down the road from the farm, was there again to get everyone well lubricated. Boy, does that gin go down easy! And the bluegrass tunes of Noggin Hill once again danced across the rows of flowers. Our ever-generous friends, Maggie and Jason, of Maggpie Rentals, decked out the farm again in the most beautiful boho-inspired furniture. Talk about classing the place up! It was hard to let them take it back.
And last, but certainly not least, is our dear friend, Maria Mack, who took all of these amazing images during the soiree. She is so talented, warm and generous! Can’t imagine this business being where it is without her help over the past several years!
It’s just such friendships as these that inspire us to have the Summer Solstice Soiree so we can give a great big Thank You to everyone who has done so much to support our farm! Can’t wait to do it again next summer!!
Looks awesome.
Really marvelous unseen flowers in my life. Looks gorgeous to see and present someone. Thanks for providing knowledgeable information about flowers.
Those are really lovely photos
Nothing is more fun than a party with a friend on the lawn. I wish you a blessing for your friendship.
