It was one of those magical summer evenings where the day had been warm, but the air cooled as the sun lowered in the sky.
The light was soft and glowing. The birds were signing up a storm. The flowers were nodding happily in a whisper of a breeze. And the company in the field was truly delightful.
Boundless thanks goes to Brooke Courtney for these amazing images! And I’m incredibly grateful to Lisa at South Avenue Sweets for the adorable flower cookies and to Catherine and Lynn (awesomely dedicated farm volunteers) for making the other amazing seasonal snacks for the evening. The featured cocktail for this workshop was an old-fashioned blackberry lemongrass shrub (made from the farm’s own berries and lemongrass) mixed with gin and chilled seltzer. We may have been a little tipsy by the end as dusk turned into darkness. . .
This workshop was one of my favorite events at the farm to date. I can’t wait to do it again on July 17th!!
Wow! Looks like a blast. All of those crowns are so unique and lovely.
Wow, I wished I lived closer. That would be fund to do.
