FAQs
Have a question? We’re always happy to help! Here you can find answers to some of the questions we hear most frequently. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, contact us.
Q. Where are workshops held? What is your address?
A. Workshops are held at our working flower farm in the Roxborough neighborhood of Philadelphia (zip code 19128). Our farm does not have a mailing address. We share detailed directions for finding our farm with workshop participants the week before the workshop date.
The nearest train station is Ivy Ridge on the Norristown R6 line of SEPTA. You will need to get an Uber or Lyft from here to reach the farm.
Q. How do I register?
A. Registration opens for each workshop 30 days before the workshop date. So, for example, if the workshop is going to be held on May 1st, it will open for registration on April 1st. You can register for classes here.
Q. How do I give a workshop as a gift?
A. There are two ways to give a workshop as a gift. If you know which workshop the person wants to attend, you’ll just simply follow the regular registration process and list their name in your order notes so we know they’ll be the person attending. If you do not know which workshop your giftee wants to attend, you can give them a gift card, which can be applied to any workshop. Click here to purchase a gift card.
Q. Can kids attend workshops?
A. We ask that you do not bring children under the age of 14 to workshops. We use very sharp tools in floral design and our educational space is not suitable for younger children.
Q. Can you recommend a nearby hotel?
A. The nearest hotel is this Residence Inn. If you’d like to book an AirBnB or similar, use the zip code 19128 to search for a rental in our neighborhood.
Q. Can you recommend a nearby restaurant for before or after class?
A. Absolutely! There are two cute neighborhoods with lots of dining nearby the farm. One is the Chestnut Hill neighborhood (zip code 19118). We love a place called Cake there (it’s in an old greenhouse). We can also recommend El Limon (great Mexican food) and Matines (a cozy French café)
The other nearby neighborhood is called Manayunk (zip code 19127). Check out Le Bus, Couch Tomato, and Somo there.
Q. How much do workshops cost?
A. The price for workshops varies depending on the floral design project, the length of the class, and the skills that will be taught in the class. Prices range from $175 – $250. In addition to an amazing experience, students go home with a bounty of extra blooms to enjoy and share.
Q. Do you have a wait list for sold out classes?
A. We do not keep wait lists.
Q. I can no longer make it to a class. What do I do?
A. Please email us to let us know that you’re no longer able to attend. That way we will not hold up the class waiting for you to arrive. Just like a ticket to a concert or sporting event, your registration is non-refundable. And just like a concert or a sporting event, you are welcome to give or sell your spot to someone else. Kindly let us know the name of who to expect in your place.
