Love ‘n Fresh Flowers offers a unique service for flower lovers in Philadelphia. Each season, our flower-only CSA (Community Supported Agriculture program) showers its members with a weekly “share” of the best and most beautiful blooms from our flower fields in Roxborough.
Members can choose to join for a month, two months, three months or full season. The prices vary by share length and type. The best value is the full season full share. The CSA runs during the summer months only (June – September). Available share types are:
Full Share: A large bountiful three gallon bucket full of loose flowers and foliage, enough to make several arrangements or to share with friends and family. Similar to those pictured above.
Half Share: A smaller six quart bucket of loose flowers and foliage, enough to make one large arrangement or two smaller ones.
Bouquet Share: A European style hand-tied bouquet for those who aren’t so keen on making their own. Similar to those pictured below.
Spring Plant Share: A tray of 18 organically grown plants (annuals) perfect for starting your own cutting garden at home. All varieties make great cut flowers and foliage for backyard bouquets. Grown from seed by Love ‘n Fresh in our greenhouse, this is a one-time share available for pick up in April when the spring weather stabilizes.
The number of shares is limited to 35 so be sure to sign up early for yours. The CSA makes a wonderful gift for the holidays, anniversaries, birthdays, new parents, newly weds, or “just because”. Love ‘n Fresh can send a lovely gift card to the recipient, explaining your thoughtful and unique gift. The CSA is also a great option for businesses interested in having fresh flowers in their waiting room, at their tables, or at the reception desk.
All flowers and foliage in the CSA are locally grown in our Philadelphia flower fields without any synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or other chemicals. Love ‘n Fresh focuses on growing native plants and heirloom varieties, many of which are perennial, to sustain a healthy and diverse eco-system in our fields that supports a vibrant population of bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and myriad other insects and birds.
